My story

** ARIZONA ONLY ** PHOENIX METRO AREA ** Lucy is a a Wheaten mix ... definitely terrier in the mix and she is so beautiful! She seems to be a very low (or no) shed, but we cannot officially say she is hypoallergenic because we don't know her mix. Lucy's new home should be an adult home. She has a sad background (which we don't know) which has made her fearful and apprehensive of new situations, and with guests, she needs some a gentle welcoming (and some snacks) to help her feel comfortable. Older children (16-17-18, etc.) would be okay as they would understand her needs, as would their friends. Loud sounds and surprises can startle Lucy, so her new parents should be extra caring and understanding to help her through these scary times. As of now, Lucy will be okay as an only dog, and her new parents should be willing to help her feel comfortable if they want another dog in the family. That said, when she's on walks, she does seem happy and interested to meet other dogs -- so we are willing to do a meet & greet if everything else seems like a great fit and you already have another dog. Who knows... maybe she would like a furry sibling. With Lucy being so fearful upon intake, we are thrilled to see her tail wagging, and very happy to see he literally bouncing around with joy in her foster home. Lucy loves going for walks .... she's happy to explore, and maybe wants to prance around showing off just how beautiful she is. Lucy also rides nicely in the car. This princess is roughly 40 pounds and estimated at 3-4 years old. She will remain happy and beautiful with daily brushing which she doesn't mind. This girl is so incredibly lovely and lovable.... we want to find her a gentle and loving home -- definitely a yard of her own (she is not a candidate for apartment or condo living)... and people who love her just as much as we do.... she is as precious as can be! Lucy looking for forever. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. If you believe you are a good match for Lucy, please email to request an adoption application. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LUCY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
