My story

Hello, I'm Crusty! But I don't mind what you call me, as long as I'm getting attention! I love pets, hugs, being held and just being with you! I'd be happy to climb in your lap while you telecommute, read a book, or binge watch a show. I'd even be happy in your lap while you read to a squirmy toddler! But just because I'm a lover, doesn't mean I don't know how to play! I am truly just a great, fun kitty! I am also incredibly patient, even with toddlers! Sadly, I found myself at FOF after my owner passed away. While I was waiting for you to find me, I was lucky enough to meet Dorian! We love playing together and snuggling, but we've still got plenty of affection left for you! We hope to be adopted together as we think we're the perfect duo - I'm more affectionate and he's more playful! He's silky and I'm soft! He's more outgoing and helps to bring out my adventurous side! And did we mention we look like the perfect swirl all cuddled up together with his dark fur and my light! Dorian and I have both been around kids of all ages and have allowed them all to hold us, pet us, and love on us without ever showing our claws or hissing! While we were in foster care, we also learned our kitty manners and we do a great job using our scratchers and not your furniture! It may take me a day or two to feel comfortable once you bring me home, but I promise you will love having me in your family! Some of the volunteers have said I'm the most loving cat you'll meet, and if you bring me home with you, be prepared to wait while they give me goodbye hugs! Crusty would love to be in a home again! His approximate date of birth is June of 2020. He does have chronic congestion, which was better while in a home, but it doesn’t keep him down! He and Dorian would love a human to share all their love with, so please come meet them! --- All of our cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites. If you want to meet a specific kitty, please inquire with us before attending an adoption event, so we can make every effort to have the requested kitties available! --- Adoption center is located at 7962 CLYDE PARK SW, BYRON CENTER MI 49315. Our shelter is open by appointment only. Applications must be submitted and approved before appointments will be set. Applications can be completed at http://www.focusonferals.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Our adoption fee is Kittens through 6 months $125 or 2 for $200; Kitties over 6 months $100 or 2 for $150.
