My story

On a cold January evening, this pint-sized pup (44 pounds) arrived to the shelter. Scared and very unsure of what to make of shelter life, we watched as Dino, secure only when he laid in the back of his kennel tucked in a blanket and as far away from the world. We can only imagine what hard life he led prior to coming here. Dino is a nervous dog, he will need an experienced adult-only home; where he is allowed to decompress and come around on his terms. He isn`t going to allow anyone to touch him right away, until he decides he can trust you. Since his arrival, Dino has been learning to trust, he now has a few best friends here that he has allowed himself to really open up! He is leash savvy, and already knows `Sit, down, Paw, stay and Come on command.` With Positive reinforcement and savvy owners we know Dino will continue to thrive. He really wants to please his people, he listens to his handler and watches for what is being asked. Dino has really come around, we are so excited for him!
