My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. UPDATE: Canelo rejoined our rescue about a year ago after his military family could no longer care for him.  HDDCR happily stepped in to help. Canelo is a very sweet boy that loves belly rubs, going for walks, playing in the yard and wrestling with his dog buddies. He loves to play keep away with you and for you to chase.  He is good with dog savvy cats. Canelo  is well trained, well behaved and he knows many commands. Canelo is crate trained and he loves rides in the car, so much so our neighbors offer to drive him around.  He is always happy to see his person! He is a very loyal fella. Canelo is an all-around great companion. If you think Canelo is the dog for you, fill out an application and give this fellow a home! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
