My story

Hello everyone!! My name is Kelsea. And I’m really hoping you’ll take a minute to read and learn about me so I can find a family who will foster me until I find my furever home, OR, even BETTER YET, go straight to my furever home!!You see, right now because I haven’t found my furever home, I’m living in a boarding facility. I’ve been here for over two months now. The people here are really nice and almost (but not always) someone comes and picks me up for some time away.Yes, I do have some challenges, but I really don’t think they’re my fault. You see, Iwas tied with a rope to a tree for a really long time. I didn’t have any shelter and the rope was really short. I was just a puppy, and I didn’t understand why anyone would do this to me. So, I need to learn some manners. Oh, please understand, I’m already working really hard at it, and everyone tells me how good I’m doing. I just get really excited when I get a chance to be with someone. Wouldn’t you if you’d been tethered to a tree and now you could cuddle with someone?I really love people and I love to walk. I love to sniff and see things and sometimesI get a little excited when something startles me. If you offer me a treat I will sit down almost before you can even tell me to do so!Most of the people tell me I’m dog selective. I’m not sure what that means but I know I like some dogs more than others. Maybe it’s because I remember baddogs that tried to take my food or water when I was on the chain. Sometimes I could only barely reach it. So, I became protective of it. I’m learning to share but I need some more practice. It’s hard to learn too much because I really don’t like being in this boarding place. I’m sure you understand. People are so nice to me, but I’m confused why no one will take me.I really would like to go to a home where maybe I’m the only dog. I’m working on crate training. And I think I’m pretty well potty trained. I’d love to be with someone who likes to run. I have a lot of energy and I bet I can keep up!! I also like to watch movies. Life of Pets is my favorite. It makes me think I’ll have a home one day.I have lived with children and while I`m good with all ages, I think older ones can keep up with me better and I don`t knock them down.Cats, well I have lived with them as well. If I am well exercised, I didn`t pay much attention to them but if I`m bored, it seems fun to chase them. The nice people at One Love Animal Rescue who saved me fro
