My story

Introducing Meeko! Outgoing Playful Loving Alert Hi there, I’m Meeko! I’m a handsome, sweet, and energetic Great Dane with a heart full of love to give. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I get to know you, I’m all in! My affectionate nature will quickly make me your favorite four-legged companion. Here’s a bit about me: Training: I’ve mastered basic commands like sit, down, come, and shake, and I’m housetrained and kennel-trained. Health: I’m neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and in great shape! Loyalty: Once I trust you, I’ll be your biggest fan and will always be ready for love and attention. I have plenty of energy and an adventurous spirit, so daily exercise and mental stimulation are a must to keep me happy. My ideal forever home will have: A secure yard: A 6-foot physical fence will keep me safe as I explore, play, and practice my recall skills. I need a midsize to large yard so I have enough room for all of my zoomies! Experienced humans: I can be stubborn at times, so I need a strong leader who can provide structure and clear boundaries. I’m not shy about speaking my mind—I’m a vocal guy who barks at just about everything! This makes me a great watchdog, but it also means I’m not the best fit for city living or apartment life. If you have kids, that’s great! I’ve been affectionate with kids in the past, but I’ll do best with older, experienced children who are comfortable around big dogs like me. A strong male presence in the home would be wonderful—I really enjoy bonding with the men in my life. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but I need slow, supervised introductions to make sure we get along. I’d prefer a home without cats for now, but once I’ve bonded with my new family and learned the ropes, we can revisit that idea. I love to spend time with my family but I do well being crated for 8+ hours during the work week if needed. I know I have a few areas to work on, like my barking and pushing boundaries, but with the right family and consistent guidance, I’ll continue to grow into the best version of myself.
