My story

Tank (Noun) 1. a large receptacle or storage chamber, especially for liquid or gas. 2. a heavy armored fighting vehicle moving on a continuous articulated metal track. According to the google definitions of a tank, I currently meet a few criteria in each description. Let me tell you how. 1. Someday soon I hope to be a large 60 (or more) pound tank. When I came into CEBR, I was very small and malnourished. My foster family has been feeding me a nutritious meal 4 times a day to fill me up. I have gained 7lbs already and currently weigh 50lbs! I am also great at storing my liquids and only release them when I’m outside in the yard. I’ve even learned to sit and wait for my treats when I get inside. As for the storage chamber for gas… hang out with me long enough and your nose will find out! Hehe 2. This definition fits me well, as I am a fighter! Not in an aggressive way of course, but I sure fought through some tough times in my life before I was rescued. These battles throughout my 4-5 years alive (best estimate of the vet, I’m not telling) have made me grateful and very well behaved. I was all alone before CEBR picked me up, so now I’m very happy being around humans and other doggies. Let’s talk about how a Tank moves… since I’ve survived some wars, my engine doesn’t run like it used to. My back legs are a little stiff and it takes a lot of my upper body strength to do tasks. My vet says it’s due to arthritis. Although, he’s never seen me move when I hear a treat bag or smell delicious food! This tank does prefer to be parked in my cozy bed, on the couch, or catching some rays on the patio. Short walks are all I need right now to built up my muscles and get some stretches. We better talk about the sounds of a tank. When idle, I’m very quiet. I sleep very hard and don’t even snore! But when I want some loves or I’m in the kitchen helping prep food, I’m like Tank Sinatra howling and singing! Since being rescued, Sinatra’s song has really showed me that… “The Best Is Yet To Come.” Do you have somewhere to park this tank permanently? If so, I’d love to meet you! -Tank If you would like to donate to Tank's care, and the care of dogs like him, please go to our website at http://shopcebr.com/products/donation or Venmo @ChicagoEBR HOW TO QUALIFY FOR A CEBR BULLY- To determine if you qualify to adopt one of our adorable bullies start by viewing our Adoption Area Map.
