My story

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! SANJI was saved by an independent rescuer. The lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. Meet SANJI a charming grey Tiger Tabby with white fur from Lucerne Valley, California, whose gentle purrs and warm cuddles will melt your heart. SANJI is the kind of cat who thrives on attention and affection. Once he feels comfortable with you, he’s not shy about rolling over to show you his soft belly—a true sign of trust and love. At a hefty 15 pounds, this big boy is pure joy, and he knows how to work his magic to get the pets he adores. SANJI has a playful side, especially when he’s hanging out in his hammock. SANJI also gets along with other cats, making him a great companion in a multi-pet home. He has also lived with dogs. He has never been around children. SANJI is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** MARCH 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. SANJI is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
