So many empty promises.... My name is Mercy and I am a very beautiful 65lb, 1-year-old female Great Pyrenees. As beautiful as I am, you would think that I would have a home already. Maybe being pretty is part of my problem though because ever since I was a puppy...it has been lots of broken promises. I remember when I was first adopted. I was so excited that I had a home...a family of my very own. I was always being held, cuddled, and loved on. I thought I would be with that family forever. As I grew, things started to change though. Suddenly my family had less time for me. They no longer wanted to play with me, which caused me to get bored and get into things. Which in turn caused them to get annoyed with me, and before I knew it they were wanting to rehome me because I was just too much. I was about 5 months old when I was rehomed and started a new journey. I tried to make the best of things. This surely had to be my forever home, but things were very different here. I no longer got to come inside the house and be with my people. They wanted me to be a guardian and watch over their outside animals. I know that for some they love it, but that wasn't my thing. My new family worked with me for a few months, but soon it was apparent that I was just not cut out for the guardian life. Once again, I found myself needing to be rehomed. This time I ended up with a rescue. I ended up having to stay in boarding for a few weeks because there was no one available to foster me..and that sucked. I did get caught up on all vaccinations and other vetting during that time so I guess that was a plus. Finally, someone ended up stepping up for me and I got out of boarding and into a foster home! My energy level is a mixture of calm and active. I can be very busy and active. If I notice the other dogs relaxing, I will calm down and relax too. If it's playtime, I am very active. I definitely have some energy to burn but it's not excessive. I enjoy playing with toys and will chase after them, but not bring them back. I like going on walks and would probably enjoy hiking as well. I do pretty well meeting new people so would be a good choice to take places with you. When it comes to road trips, I will climb into the car on my own and am pretty calm. I am good with other dogs, cats, and kids. I do feel like I would fit well into pretty much any lifestyle. I could handle apartment living if my new family were active, but would also do amazing to have a big backyard to romp around in. I would love to have a doggie playmate in my new home, but as long as my new family kept me stimulated and exercised I would also do fine as an only dog. I am potty trained and have been introduced to the kennel. I am not an excessive barker, but will definitely let you know if something seems off. I am a very good girl, and for whatever reason people keep wanting me and then breaking their promise of forever to me. I am just about as sweet as they come, and am really hopeful that my true forever family will find me soon! If you think you could be the family for me, I hope you will apply for me at https://www.emailmeform.com/.../hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can't keep me through ALL of life's changes, don't be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn't fair to me. I would NEVER give up on you, so please don't give up on me. I want to be your forever...not your until dog. --------------------------------------------- Application to adopt Mercy https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 Location: Oklahoma City, OK -Adopters must be able to pick up their new dog, with no exceptions. FROM HER FOSTER MOM š¾ ā ~Mercy is a gorgeous, 65lb, 13-month-old female Great Pyrenees. Mercy is a fun, happy, loving dog! Her favorite things are other dogs, her people, food and toys! She loves playing outside with the other dogs, having her belly rubbed (being pet in general) and going on walks. She is a very trainable dog so any bad manners she has will be able to be corrected. She wants to please her people. She would love going on outings and walks. She runs to the door and hits her nose on the handle to let you know she'd be happy to be taken on a walk at that time. She's sweet as can be and a great dog to relax and cuddle with. She likes to be around her people but isn't suffocating. Loves laying on her dog bed or the couch! But if her people get up, she's coming too! She really is a gem! She will be her new family's best friend forever! Mercy would do best with another dog companion to play with and a human around with her more often than not. An active home would be good too~
