*** Operetta is in a foster home ***Operetta #18395: brown tabby, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 2/1/23Cats: good solo, can adapt to mellow catDogs: unknownChildren: quiet home, teens/adults BACKGROUND: Operetta first came to The Rescue House when she and her sister were found as kittens. When a life circumstance change happened in her adoptive home, the stress in the household became too much and she and the other resident cat could no longer tolerate each other’s company. She has come back to us to look for a more harmonious home.PERSONALITY: Operetta earned her name because she sang her whole ride into rescue. Yet quite the opposite of a prima donna, she is quite affectionate once you become acquainted. Operetta is initially a bit reserved and needs some time to acclimate to new situations; once she warms up, she is a sweet and cuddly girl with adorable chirps, meows, and purrs! She enjoys laptime and will give happy purrs to be in your company… it’s reassuring and comforting to her. She does like to be the director of when and for how long hugs and cuddles last; while she’s companionable, she’s not clingy, and will do her own thing as well. (This often involves opening cabinet doors.) She likes to gingerly explore, run about, and climb on cat trees. Operetta enjoys interactive wand sessions and she can also self-entertain with mice, balls, and spring toys. COMPATIBILITY: Operetta is good as a solo kitty and can adapt to a mellow cat when given an introduction. We don’t know her thoughts on dogs. Since she prefers a quiet and routine-oriented environment, we recommend a calm home with adults or teens.Our sweet little singer just wants a happy and loving home… will you invite Operetta into your heart?
