My story

He is friendly and snuggly with everyone. He's been raised in a house with a smaller dog and gets along with everyone. He has been around older children and doesn't mind being held. Love Bug would do great in a house with older children, and small dogs, possibly larger gentle dogs. Big Boy is a huge kitten, hence the name. HE may be a Maine Coon Mix. He is playful, but for the most part he enjoys lounging around conserving energy because of his large size. He gets along with the small dog in the home. Big Boy has done great when spending time with younger children. He doesn't mind being held. Big Boy would do great in a home that gives him plenty of comfy spots to lounge around. He would be fine in a home with older children, and smaller dogs. Could do well in a home with gentle large dogs.. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
