Sparky was trapped and brought indoors on Independence Day at about 5 weeks old, right before the fireworks went off in his Downtown neighborhood. Hence, his namesake. He also has distinctive “sparks” of white fur in his ears that stand out from his otherwise solid black coat. Sparky himself is quite the firecracker! He was super spicy over being trapped and bit his trapper with his teensy teef. But within hours he decided he could get used to cuddles, food, treats, toys and a comfy bed. His foster mom had him purring within hours, and he’s been a sweet boy since. Sparky’s favorite daily activities are chasing and wrestling with other kitties, reminding his foster that it’s mealtime, reminding his foster that he and his foster buddies would like treats, checking the human baby’s high chair for crumbs, and coming in for cuddles in the evening once he’s worn himself out. He gets along well with all of the other resident cats and fosters and has not shown any aggression. Sparky has not been around dogs, but would likely be willing to befriend a pup who wants to play. Sparky will need a furry companion at all times. He has a beautiful brother, Nova, who is a perfect fit, but he would also bond well with another kitten or younger cat. He just wants to play!May 9, 2025, 6:47 am
