Roma is a female, 12-year-old Terrier Mix who was rescued from the shelter. When we first saw her, she was in the medical section, all curled up, recovering from dental cleaning/extraction and kennel cough. Her records also showed she had other health issues; a heart murmur grade 2, skin infection, and severe dental tartar, before the dental and extractions. She only has most of her lower left side teeth. Roma was very matted and malnourished to the point you could see her bones and was deemed anemic. The shelter took good care of her, giving her meds, and taking radiographs and blood work. We gave her medical care and in her foster home, she received good care, a better diet, and lots of love. Roma is much better, with her kidney and liver levels back to normal. She's gained weight and her hair has grown. She is a very loving, active senior dog. She even has a foster brother who engages her in play and holds up her own with his young antics. She is a playful and loving dog who likes to curl up next to you or get comfy on your lap. Roma is a dear and deserves a good home to live out the rest of her years. If you are interested in adopting Roma to make her a part of your family, please contact Heart and Home Rescue Organization at 951-708-0626 or email heartandhomerescueorg@gmail.com.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Roma, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
