My story

Name: Peppa Pig Nickname: PEPS. PepperNEgg. Peppa-Leppa. Pepsi-girl. Curiosa. Breed: Bulldog mix Weight: 40 lbs. Age: ~2 years Before OMD: Stray. Waited at the city shelter for owners who never came. Welcomed to OMD when a foster stepped up. Energy level: Medium Key descriptors: Happy. Enthusiastic. Fun. Curious. What we love: When she looks up at you with her big, beautiful eyes. What makes us laugh: How she wiggles and squirms on her back when she’s getting belly rubs – it gives off stuck upside-down turtle vibes. How she will maneuver herself onto the last square inch of the dog bed her foster brother is already occupying, even though it results in her precariously balancing on the edge. What she loves: Food. Toys. Water in any form. (in that exact order) Streets vs. sheets: Independent and busy on the streets cuddly and cozy in the sheets. Moonlights as: Inspector for the water department – she is fascinated with the storm drains on her walks. What she knows: Sit. Come. Uh-uh usually stops a bad behavior. What she’s working on: Off. Stay. Pulling less on leash when seeing a critter. Less mouthiness when playing. Dogs: Sure – she plays like a linebacker trying to get a first-round draft pick so they should be tolerant of a brute. Cats: Nah – she is way too excited about them. Kids: Sturdy, older ones should be fine. House-trained: Yep Crate-trained: Yes, but takes a few minutes, and a treat, to settle in. Peppa is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is available for adoption to CT and surrounding states.
