My story

Meet Rufus Lucas! This sweet boy is as smart as he is handsome. He is about one and a half years old and weighs about 65 pounds. We aren’t exactly sure what breed mix he is, we think maybe a shepherd and some pit bull terrier, but do we know he’s super cute! He does great on a leash and knows some basic commands like sit, crate, and he knows how to shake your hand! He loves all other doggy and human friends of all ages, but would do best in a cat free home. Rufus has been selected for a special Grant program that covers a large portion of her adoption fee. This Grant is only for qualified adopters after an application is fully approved! Interested in becoming a forever home for Rufus? We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Rufus. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Rufus the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, bloodwork, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
