My story

My personality: Sometimes nervous and wary but ultimately smiley, friendly and sweet. My story: In October 2019, my friend Livana and I were abandoned on a tiny uninhabited island called Koh Payoo, some 85 kilometres away from Soi Dog’s base in Phuket. I’ve heard that humans dream of deserted tropical islands, but for us it was a terrifying nightmare. We were totally alone, without food, water or shelter. The cruel person who left us there must have known that we had no chance of surviving. But just as we were losing hope, a boat appeared on the horizon. We were so surprised when we realised it was Soi Dog’s animal rescue officers coming to get us. They had received a call from one of the island’s few visitors and rushed to our rescue. My needs: Livana was adopted last year which is great. I needed some behavioural support to help me overcome my ordeal, so it’s taken me a bit longer to get to a place where I can be adopted, but I'd definitely say I’m ready now. The behaviour team think I’d do best as the only dog in the home. I know homes like that are hard to find, but it would mean so much after everything I’ve been through, so please consider getting in touch and learning more about me! DISCLAIMER: I am located at Soi Dog in Phuket, Thailand. Soi Dog charges no adoption fee for me and I have been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters simply need to cover the cost of my travel crate, flight(s), and Rabies Titer Test (RTT). If you are interested in adopting me, then please inquire for further details.
