She has come a long way since arriving at the shelter, and with the help of a foster home and new medication, she has started to relax, trust, and show her sweet, playful side.Sadie Sue is housebroken, crate trained (with a few extra carabiners for security during storms), and very well-mannered in the home. She shares toys, food, and space beautifully with the resident dog in her foster home and loves having a canine friend for companionship. She has no resource guarding, allows handling for baths, and loves lounging nearby or curling up for cuddles once she feels safe.Though Sadie Sue has made big strides, she is still a sensitive soul who can be wary of new people, loud noises, and busy environments. She will need a quiet, patient home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. New situations can feel overwhelming for her, so slow introductions, positive reinforcement, and consistent structure will be important. Sadie Sue may bark at new visitors or dart at sudden sounds, but once she trusts you, she is affectionate, playful, and incredibly endearing. She is a loyal little shadow who just wants to be close to her trusted people. Sadie Sue`s perfect family will understand that love sometimes looks like patience.
