My story

Meet Nova! Nova is a 3-year-old mixed-breed female who was transferred in from Palm Beach County and is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and playful energy to her new family. With a moderate energy level, Nova is the perfect blend of active and easygoing—she enjoys daily walks, playtime with her favorite toys, and especially splashing in the water whenever she gets the chance. She’s also a total snuggler and loves nothing more than curling up close with her people after a fun-filled day. Nova is great on a leash, knows her basic commands, and does well with both adults and kids, making her a wonderful family companion. She gets along with other dogs, especially those of a similar size, and would enjoy a playmate who matches her energy and style. However, Nova can be toy possessive, so supervision during shared playtime is important, especially around high-value toys. She is not good with cats, so a feline-free home is a must. Nova doesn’t require previous dog experience—she’s smart, affectionate, and eager to please, making her a great fit for first-time adopters who are ready to provide love, structure, and fun.
