My story

Meet Dill Big lovable, goofball Dill is looking for his furever home! Dill recently came to HAP when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Since his arrival, he's quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite with his big personality and even bigger heart! Dill loves to attach himself to your side and I hope your always ready for a weighted blanket in dog form. He will wiggle his way into your lap because haven't you heard that big dogs make the best lap dogs? Dill has made several doggy friends but due to his size and playstyle would do best in a home with other dogs that can keep up with him! He's also met children and once he gets over his initial wiggles, settles down quickly and rolls over for love so may do well in a home with young children. Despite his size, he's great on the leash and knows sit. He loves his treats and is very food motivated so training will be a breeze. One of our favorite things about Dill is this boy loovveess to sunbathe! He'll sprawl out on his side and he sort of looks like a baked potato roasting in the sun - it's hilarious! So if you're looking for an energetic, big dog with a big silly personality, Dill is the dog for you! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
