Daylin

My story

Meet Daylin, a lively young Shepherd mix from Alabama who’s steadily healing from an orthopedic injury. Bright and energetic, Daylin thrives with structure, mental challenges, and an owner familiar with Shepherds or eager to learn. His working-dog mindset means he needs leadership, boundaries, and plenty of enrichment to feel confident and happy. Despite his recovery, Daylin loves playtime and gets along well with other dogs. He’s highly food-motivated, which makes training enjoyable and effective. He’s currently working on house and potty training and making good progress with consistency. Water is one of his favorite things—whether splashing in a kiddie pool or chasing a hose, he lights up. Daylin walks fairly well on leash but still needs more training to build confidence and settle into a calmer pace. His affectionate personality shines once he’s comfortable, but his energetic play can be too rough for small or very young children. Because of this, he’s best suited for a home with older kids (12+) or adults. Daylin is a project of love and resilience, and with the right care, he’ll become a joyful, loyal, and endlessly charming companion.
