Meet Carrot, a sweet and sensitive 1-year-old mixed breed who’s ready for his second chance at a forever home. He was originally rescued from Miami-Dade County and brought to Big Dog Ranch to find his forever home along with his 13 siblings, all of whom have since been adopted. Carrot was adopted once as well, but sadly returned through no fault of his own—his previous owner simply didn’t have the time this energetic young dog needs. Though shy and timid at first, Carrot begins to shine once he feels safe and secure. He thrives with patient, experienced adopters who can help him build confidence at his own pace. When he warms up, Carrot is incredibly affectionate—he loves to cuddle, play with toys, and especially enjoys splashing around in water. He’s good on a leash, gets along well with other dogs, and already knows basic commands. Due to his nervous nature, Carrot would do best in an adult-only home with experienced adopters who understand how to support a shy dog. With the right people, Carrot is sure to blossom into a loyal and joyful companion. If you’re active, understanding, and ready to help a young dog grow into his full potential, Carrot might be the perfect match for you.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Carrot, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
