My story
MEET LUCAS! Lucas is a 16-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua who arrived to our rescue a bit of a mess. His mouth was severely infected, and per the shelter he has a heart murmur, which makes anesthesia very risky. He also is missing hair due to a genetic issue per the vet. We currently have him on antibiotics and are waiting on the vet to see if his heart murmur has improved on heart medicine, and we'll go from there. But the good news! Lucas still has a good appetite, and we're hoping now he'll gain some weight in our care. He gets along great with other dogs. He can be a little nippy only because his mouth bothers him, and he doesn't like to be man-handled too much as a result. We are looking for a final home for this little guy, with a person or people who can shower Lucas with the love that he so definitely deserves. Please email for an application.
