Dara (Special Adoption Fee)

My story

(Dara has been in foster care with JCAPL since October 2023. She is being sponsored by an anonymous donor to cover a portion of her adoption fee to help her find her forever home). Dara was born in July 2023, the kitten of a community cat. Dara likes to be the center of attention, so she will likely do best in a home where she is the only cat. She has been around her foster mom's dog for most of her life, and she does not mind him at all; however, she does not like dogs that are pushy or "in her face", and she will stand up for herself. So, if you have a dog, it would be best if the dog is mostly uninterested in her to keep peace. She is vocal and likes to express her opinion! She's a strong, independent girl, but she likes to crawl under the covers and cuddle. She loves canned food! She knows her name and knows what "Dara, no" means. She will thrive in a home that will respect her space when she's being independent but will recognize when she is being affectionate and give her the requested attention. Dara has a sponsor, which means she has a reduced adoption fee. Are you interested in adopting Dara or another JCAPL pet you have seen? There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
