My story

A different side of Flash, one of our hard to place chihuahua mixes. Flash has been with us for a while now. He definitely has his favorites at the shelter. He shows horribly so people just walk by him. He didn't like me at first either but he has grown to love me and a few other staff and volunteers. Flash has some resource guarding issues with toys that with some work can be worked with. I usually grab another toy to grab his focus and then remove the toy I want that he is guarding. He also has some possession issues including over people. I would suggest that he have a single owner home. He is housed with other dogs but he would prefer to be your one and only. He will take some time to learn to trust and love you but he is a sweet boy in his own way and he loves to go for walks and to play fetch, he just doesn't bring the toy back 🤣🤣🤣. Most of his meet and greets are unsuccessful because he needs to get to know you longer than a few minutes. He is very food and toy motivated. He prefers female dogs and does not like to be picked up but is a lap dog.
