PAULY*

My story

Pauly is a handsome boy who really knows how to relax! In fact, you can often find him napping belly up in his kennel without a care in the world., even in the noisy shelter environment. Pauly spent several weeks in a foster home where he lived with three young kiddos and was described as being very gentle and loving with them. He did great with other resident dogs too. Pauly was housebroken in his foster home, enjoyed his daily walks, and liked to sleep on his bed or the couch. He has a silly, mischievous side and liked to take ornaments off the Christmas tree when no one was looking. He also loves stuffed toys. His foster said the following:“Pauly walks so well on a leash- my mind was blown! He is better than both of my dogs and didn’t need any sort of training. He walks pretty much right beside me. He is the perfect dog- it breaks my heart to have to return him. Pauly is a gentleman who loves hugs and cuddles. He melts like butter into the carpet and loves to play with stuffed animal toys and be silly. His default position is all four legs in the air laying on his back.”Pauly has been spending time in another foster home and here is what we know: He is crate and house trained, he is vocal, he is very good on leash! Pauly does well with the other Dogs in the home.He does well with kids but can be a little jumpy. He also does not like to be home alone- but who would!? He has a large desire to please people- which makes for easy training!- and he is very loving. Pauly needs a family committed to his ongoing care- he is on medication for Valley Fever and seizures. Don’t worry though- these challenges don’t slow Pauly down one bit! Pauly shares his kennel and has been appropriate and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
