My story

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Meet Snow!  This guy is just the sweetest pup - we wonder how it's possible he is still with us and not in his forever home!!  Snow was actually found with his girlfriend and their two puppies abandoned on a back road in Louisiana.  Snow was the most amazing dad. He helped care for and protect their puppies in the most amazing way - gentle and loving always.  Fast forward - mom and the two babies have been adopted but Snow needed a little time to settle into trusting again.  With the help of a great foster, he's made amazing strides.  Early on he was afraid of everything.  Now, he's just so happy to be part of a family.  He's playful with the other dogs, ignores the cats, is tentative at first with very small children but is great once he feels safe. His foster mom has helped him thrive through consistent training on the basics and it's given him the confidence he was missing.  Snow has just finished heartworm treatment, is neutered, up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, is happy, healthy, and ready for a home of his own.  We believe Snow will do best in a home with time for play, exercise, and snuggles, and suggest children 10 yrs of age and up. We are not sure of his breed but mom and babies definitely have some Aussie shepherd mix to them and we believe he does too.  As with all new pets, Snow will need time to decompress and settle in to his new environment.  But if you're looking for a best friend for life, Snow is your guy!     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.
