NO PELLETS Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (All day) Salad: 1 cup spring mix, romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley (PM) Suki is a big, beautiful bunny who can start off a little shy, but is very curious, energetic, and sweet! She loves to hop on top of things and have a higher vantage point. Sometimes she is hesitant to approach because slippery floors make her nervous, so she much prefers to have a blanket covering her entire pen space. Suki is very expressive with her ears, and just seeing them move up, down, and sideways is an easy way to see how curious she is. Suki gets very excited in the mornings and evenings, and you will often see her doing binkies and zoomies! Suki will accept pets with a slow, calm approach, but may startle easily. Despite this, she will follow you around all day for her favorite hay cube! Medical Note: Suki's left atrium of her heart is enlarged, indicating possible early dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). DCM is a heart disease where the chambers become enlarged and dilated. She will be on heart medication for life. Spayed 09/13/2022 Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease caused by a calicivirus that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. It is not contagious to people or other animals. For the first time, the virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. UPDATE: In May 2021, California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has confirmed new cases of RHDV in rabbits in Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura County. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit.
