Quinn is a beautiful little pibble with a soft, shiny coat and the most amazing ears. This girl is only alive because the wrong dog was picked up at the shelter....the ride was to pick up a different black pibble and Quinn was mistakenly loaded into the crate. Her destiny was to live. If you are reading this, maybe she was meant to be YOURS! For Quinn, first introductions matter as it does with most dogs. She likes a calm, cool greeting from a person, to know that things are safe and okay. She doesn't trust baby talk, squeals and over head greetings (who does really?). For this reason, a home with young active children is not the best place for this sweet girl. While Quinn can be parallel to other dogs, it is the attention of humans that she craves. She is not a candidate for dog parks and doggy play facilities, while she will not start anything, she will not back down (Like Elvis said......I never look for trouble, but I never run.) For these reasons and to set Quinn up to have a long happy life, it is preferred that she be an only dog. Quinn rides in the car beautifully and walks on a leash well. She knows basic commands and through her current trainer is learning more life skills everyday on how to interact and feel safe. She takes treats so delicately and while she doesn't adore her crate, she will go in willingly at your request. In the long run, we don't think she needs to be crated anyway. Quinn is not a picky eater and loves all treats. In her previous life, this girl had PLENTY of puppies. Not anymore! She is healthy and fully vetted so this girl is ready to go. Quinn LOVES to play ball and tug, probably only second to cuddling. For those of us that love Quinn, we want everyone to see what we see: a loveable, funny, playful girl that just needs to be in the home of an experienced dog owner. Quinn has been looking for a home for nearly 400 days! It's not because she isn't AWESOME (because she is), and it's not because she hasn't had some interest (she has), it's simply because all of the home conditions weren't best suited for her, and that's not her fault. Quinn is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Quinn, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
