My story

Hi, I'm Clay! I'm a happy-go-lucky, three-year-old (my birthday's April 19th!) American Bulldog mix. My life started at a North Carolina shelter, but Big Dog Ranch rescued me as a pup and I made the journey to FL with my siblings. I am happy that my siblings all found homes but what about me?? I've grown up in the shelter and this is a nice place to live for now. I love playing with other dogs (especially the energetic ones!), though I appreciate my space with pushy pals. I'm a zoomies master and all say that I am the sweetest boy! I'm a quick learner and eager to please already mastering my sit and stay and I’m VERY treat motivated– take advantage of the free training class! when you adopt me. I'm high-energy, love to play, swim, learn tricks, and wrestle with my doggy friends (though I can be a little mischievous unsupervised!) Living in a shelter has made me a bit of a barrier reactive pup (it's so frustrating seeing everyone on the other side!), but I'm not aggressive at all – I'm a big softie who loves snuggles and pets! I have never had a home of my own and my wish list is this. An active family with another playful dog, who's ready for a loyal, loving, and energetic companion.
