Emilia (Pending)

My story

Emelia, affectionately known as Emmy, is a lovely young 2 year old Snowshoe Ragdoll mix. Here is what her owner/caregiver wants you to know about her: "We found Emelia as a stray 3 months ago and were excited to reunite her with her owner after discovering she had a microchip. We were heartbroken when we discovered that her owner no longer wanted Emmy and decided to see if she would fit in with our family. Her personality, unfortunately, is very triggering for our dog, a 100 lb. pitty mix, and it's just not working out. Emmy's vocalizing along with her high energy, makes for a constant stressful situation as the dog thinks she's a toy half of the time. We worry that leaving her at a shelter is a recipe for disaster, as she may be misunderstood. She's beautiful and has amazing "window appeal" but is also very talkative and is a high energy cat which needs to be counseled as such with the next owner. Emelia's perfect home would be a place with other feline playmates, as she has lots of energy, loves to vocalize and play throughout the day. She would also do well with older children or teens who love interacting with cats. Emelia also loves car rides, currently travels in a backpack carrier and does really well while with us outside of the house. She does fine with dogs but would prefer an older dog that is less interested in her high energy." Not only is darling Emmy a petite cat weighing in at just 6 lbs, she has remained quite kittenish with her high energy and curiosity. She should do quite well with a high energy cat experienced adopter especially where she could be with another young playful cat or two. Although Emmy is currently not a lap cat, she will sleep next to you and near you. We think she will do well with both cat friendly cats and/or a cat friendly dog as well as older respectful children that adore cats and love to play with them. She is quite the special cat who engages in conversations and expresses her opinions! and did we mention we think she is stunningly beautiful with those irresistible blue eyes? Emelia is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her owner in Rancho Cordova. This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
