My story

Princess makes it easy to care for her and love her. She is a very sweet and endearing cat with two modes: play and cuddle. Communicating with Princess: She's a good communicator. She usually doesn't meow much unless she needs something, but she often does make the cutest coos and chirps. She is really good at not using her claws on me and if she wants to play she may chew on my hand and try to wrestle with it but I just slowly pull it away and grab a toy and as soon as I throw a ball or something she goes zooming after it. The only other time she will chew on me is if I am petting her or manipulating her body in some way and she wants to be left alone. Most of the time she will just push me away with her soft paws and hold them out if she wants to groom herself is peace or something. Princess's Playful Nature: Princess is very playful. How she hops with her front arms is really cute and heartwarming. She also loves to roll around while playing. She loves to play with a toy I made out of feathers and some wool from a dryer ball that I attached to a stick with fishing line. She also likes to play with little foam balls, I bounce them off of the floor and the wall and she bats at them then chases them. Princess's Mobility: Princess likes to climb and is pretty good at it. I have a 5 foot tall cat tree and she climbs up the side of it and hangs out up there like any normal cat would. She also has figured out a process of descending from one platform to another to get back down. She really enjoys looking out the window too. She would do well with a good window with a way up and down to hang out in and watch birds. Princess's Loving Nature: When she is sleepy she really enjoys cuddling and purring. She loves any attention around the head, ears chin, face and neck. She also likes to role around and make little noises while your petting her. She also likes to lounge in soft places like on cushions or blankets. At night I often wake up and she is laying next to me sleeping. She also likes to touch you with her pads, almost like she is holding your hand. She really enjoys licking me on the nose, face, arms and hands especially if she is in a grooming mood. Ever since she was a kitten she has always loved face nuzzling, as long as she is not in play mode it makes her relax. Caring for Princess: She will need help using the restroom throughout the day. She has needed this help since she was a baby so she is used to it. If I see her tail flicking or if its time to relieve her I will pick her up and put her in a clear bin to discourage her from running around while she is using the restroom. You can gently rub around the area or even better, massaging her low back near the hips helps her relieve herself. You can tell it is working because whenever she is getting ready to pee her tail starts to flicker. A big tail flicker with legs kicking indicates she is about to pee or is peeing and possible getting ready to poop. If her tail gets poofy and it sticks strait up she will need to poop shortly. The tail flicks and both legs kicking always happen in conjunction with relieving herself and are a really good indicator to use when helping her go to the restroom. The massaging is also good because it helps her low back. Once her tail starts flicking you can simply pet the very end of her back where the tail meets and up the tail a few inches. This will keep her tail flicking which will encourage her to relieve herself. She can wear a diaper, but it has to be changed often or she can get an infection. She is on natural uti/kidney remedy now to help keep infections away. Princess is a very loving cat and not too hard to care for. Loving her and caring for her is rewarding because she will love you back just as much.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Princess, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
