My story

Hi! I’m Charlie! My foster mom says I am just the sweetest, cuddliest, nicest boy ever, and I have to agree! I am around 7 years old, weigh 12 lbs., and am a chihuahua mix with the cutest curly tail. I love to snuggle on the couch and love sitting on my foster mom/dad’s laps. I love cookies and will do the most adorable little dance for one. I am good in a crate but love sleeping with my people at night. I stay loose in the house when my people are gone, and my fur-siblings and I have a fun time together. I recently attended a "doggy social" and did great with all the many dogs there - small and medium-sized. I am good with kids, bones, toys, food and my bed and never mind sharing. I’m not pushy or demanding and I am pretty good at going with the flow. I am learning to walk well on a leash and harness, and am enjoying walks with other dogs. I am also doing well with my house training, and may do some territorial marking at first, but with consistent training and letting me out often, I will be better in no time. I am also good with cats, no growling or chasing. I used to want to run out whenever a door was opened, but now I know "wait" and "back up," and although I need to be watched like any dog in a new situation, my favorite thing is hanging out with my pack and knowing that I am loved.
