Meet Jesse, the snuggliest 8-year-old grandpa you'll ever meet! Jesse is a 65lb. mutt who is all sweetness and can't wait to give you kisses! Jesse was adopted from a shelter in North Carolina seven years ago and has moved with mom and dad to Virginia and on to Texas. Jesse is up to date on his shots and is neutered and microchipped. Plus, despite being an avid player and wrestler in his youth, Jesse is in tip-top shape! Jesse is a low-energy dog who loves to cuddle with all of his fluffy, furry friends and with his people! He gets along with female dogs for one-on-one play dates, but wants to be an only child and the center of your world. He also loves playing in the snow, playing chase in short sessions, and going on one or two walks during the day, but mostly just wants to snooze and be around people, whether that's in or out of the house! An ideal home for Jesse would be a home with no kids or other pets, and one where mom or dad is home a lot (although he is more than fine being home alone during the day). Jesse is leash and house trained, and is fine going into his crate if you put him on his leash first! He's a very smart pup who has previously gone through obedience and relaxation-style trainings and is always ready to learn new things! He loves helping in the kitchen, and especially loves when mom and dad toss him some bread or chicken (of course, they always pay the cheese tax, too)! All that being said, Jesse has gotten used to being an only child and has started to feel a bit displaced and anxious, ever since mom and dad brought home a baby (human) brother six months ago. His current mom and dad just want to make sure that Jesse and his baby brother are safe and happy! This wonderful boy just wants to be loved and is deserving of his forever home! Apply to adopt Jesse today! Jesse is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jesse, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
