💔 Riley’s Been Through It… But She’s Still Full of Love 💕 Riley isn’t new here — and that’s what makes this so hard to write. This sweet girl has been in and out of the shelter more times than we ever wanted for her. She’s a proud graduate of the Colwell Rescue Program, where she bonded deeply with her detainee handler. He loved her enough to adopt her when he got out — but sadly, life threw him a curveball, and he had to return her due to housing issues. 😢 Riley came back to us, confused but still hopeful. Then she found love again with a kind mom and daughter duo. But after a short time, they shared that Riley was struggling with separation anxiety. We want you to know: this isn’t Riley’s fault. Long-term shelter dogs often carry big hearts and big feelings. What they need most — more than anything — is time, patience, exercise, and consistency. 💡 We’ve learned this: a tired dog is a good dog. Riley thrives when she’s active and has someone around. She doesn’t need a mansion or a perfect yard — she needs you. Someone who’s home a good part of the day, ready to love her for the rest of her days. Riley wants to be your one and only, so no other pets please — but we promise, this love muffin has enough love in her heart to fill your whole house. 🐾💗 She’s not giving up. And neither are we.
