My story

Location: St. Cloud, MN Hi there! I’m Mars, but my friends also call me Nox—you can pick your favorite. I’m about 1 ½ years old, around 60 pounds, and I’ve got the smarts and good looks of a German Shepherd, the heart of a Rottweiler, and the nose of a Bloodhound (seriously, if you drop a snack, I will find it). I’m super friendly and full of love—I get excited to meet new people and even more excited when I see other dogs (maybe a little too excited… I’m working on that!). I’m still learning my manners, but I really want to please you and I catch on quickly. If you’ve got treats, toys, or a little patience, I’m all ears—literally. Speaking of toys—I love them! Squeaky, bouncy, chewy... yes, please! I’m playful, curious, and always ready for a good time. I’m almost fully kennel trained, and I’m learning to walk nicely on a leash. (Right now, I think it’s a race... I’ll get there!) I’ve met some cats and, well, they’re very interesting. I don’t want to hurt them, but I do get the urge to chase—so a home with confident cats or slow introductions would be best. I’ve got a strong bark and I’m always on alert, which makes me a great little watchdog. But more than anything, I’m just looking for a best friend. Someone who can help me grow into the awesome dog I’m meant to be. -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
