My story

Meet Molasses! 🍯 This sweet 2-year-old, 45-pound Lab mix is equal parts cuddle bug, toy enthusiast, and treat connoisseur. Affectionately nicknamed Lassy, this handsome pup is looking for a patient and loving home where he can truly shine. Molasses is incredibly smart—he already knows a bunch of fun commands like Sit, Down, Stay, Roll Over, Spin, and even “Gentleman” (yes, he crosses his paws!). He's very food-motivated, which not only helps with training but also makes him a quick learner and eager to please. In the home, Molasses is affectionate, silly, and snuggly—he loves belly rubs, curling up next to you, and playing with his favorite toys. He’s also crate trained, house trained, and enjoys playing with other dogs in familiar, structured settings like daycare. While Molasses can be cautious around new people or dogs on walks, it’s simply because the world can feel like a lot sometimes. With slow introductions, consistency, and some tasty treats, he warms up quickly and builds strong bonds. Once he trusts you, he’s all in—offering you his paw (or both!) for more love and attention. He’d do best in a calmer home without young kids, where he can continue to build confidence and thrive.
