My story

Schnauzer alert 🚨 😍 🤤 Meet Fritz, a perfect German name for a perfect little German dog! This 4 year old was a breeder release and is understandably shy and nervous, but very curious about the world around him and warms up quickly. He loves other dogs and being part of a pack and is a follower not a leader who needs at least one other doggie friend in the household to help show him the ropes. Everything is still new and a bit scary to him- walking on leash, housebreaking, being cuddled and loved, and he’s looking for a calmer adult home that understands he may never be the life of the party, but given time will bond and be loyal and loving toward his people. He’s not shown any aggression, just skittish and jumps away when first approached or freezes and shuts down when overwhelmed. He’s a handsome small Particolor schnauzie, chunky at 13.5lbs right now but on a diet and other than some rotting teeth that are getting taken care of is in pretty good shape. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
