My story

Texana is a 5-year-old, high-energy pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, looking for a fresh start after being surrendered by her previous owner. She’s full of life, loves to play, and has a special fondness for water—whether it’s a kiddie pool, sprinkler, or a splashy adventure, Texana is all in. She’s also a total cuddle bug once the day winds down, and she’ll happily curl up next to her favorite person for some quiet snuggle time. Texana gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion, but she’s **not good with cats or kids, and needs a home that understands how to manage her **protective behavior around toys and food**. She’s had some struggles with **separation anxiety**, so she’d do best with someone who is home often or willing to work with her on building confidence when alone.
