My story

Meet Elly May Say hello to Elly May! Elly May is an adorable Australian Cattle Dog / Shepherd mix who is 8 weeks old and currently weighs 7 pounds. We rescued this litter from the side of the road in Castroville, Texas where they were being given away for free, huddled together in the back of a pickup truck. Their previous owner said they were born just after Thanksgiving in 2023. Their mom is a gorgeous Shepherd / Rottweiler mix who is very sweet and approximately 60 pounds. We don’t know who dad is. Thankfully the previous owner is going to allow our rescue to spay mom so there won’t be any more pups being given away in the future. We are happy to have this litter of 5 here with us and are excited to help them find loving homes to grow up in. Elly May is a typical sweet and curious puppy. She enjoys being around people and being loved on. The entire litter have happy, wagging tails and roly-poly puppy bellies. They were recently weaned, so we know as they continue to settle in their adorable playful personalities will continue to emerge. Elly May will do well growing up in just about any family environment. She is looking for a nurturing home that will give her lots of love and attention and will be a wonderful member of the family. Elly May is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on February 17, 2024. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.
