My story

We thought our handsome gentlemen, Alec, found his forever home last year, but due to changes in his owner’s life, Alec found his way back to ARF.  Alec is a 6 year-old Shepherd-Husky with a heart full of joy. He's not only friendly and smart, but also wonderfully mellow, making him the perfect companion for leisurely strolls in the park. Alec delights in simple pleasures like enjoying a pup cup after a good walk and being brushed by one of his volunteer pals. He's an excellent walker, always eager to explore. However, Alec does have a high prey drive, so he's best suited for a home without small animals.  He does well walking along with some of his dog pals from the shelter, but Alec prefers to be the only pet in his home.  Alec's gentle nature and love for life make him an ideal candidate for someone looking to add a loving, loyal companion to their family. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
