Charlie

My story

Meet our boy Charlie! He was pulled just in time before he was planned to be euthanized. He has the Great Dane personality traits of being a gentle giant, love bug and very sensitive. We have been doing slow introductions with him to other dogs and he is learning to be confident and how to be a dog. Although we don't know much about his past we do know that he has been adjusting to city life with noises and a lot more action than where he was found. He walks great on a leash and we are working on basic commands. Charlie can be stubborn at times and will need a little coaxing to get moving especially when its time to go potty outside in the rain. We think the best home for him would be with a family with older children that likes to go out for walks. He would do great in a home with other calmer dogs or as the one and only! We recently learned through an echocardiogram that Charlie has been diagnosed with what we think is mild DCM. His heart was recently re-evaluated and he is doing great! No restrictions on activities or zoomies. However we are taking precautions with heart meds and additional supplements to ensure that we keep him healthy and his next evaluation will be in 9 months. Don't let this sweet boy pass you by.
