18 months old Buddy is an intelligent and social boy. He gets along with all dogs he meets. He is being fostered in a home with 4 other dogs and 3 cats. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He is good at reading other dogs’ body language and is great at respecting other pups’ boundaries. Buddy is a confident boy who tends to be on the submissive side still acting like a confident guy. He is the no drama dog. He is Excellent with children, currently living with his 6 year old human foster sister. He wiggles his tail and wait for children to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. He is cat-friendly. He will mostly stay out of the way from cats unless they are curious about him. In this case, he will want to sniff the kitten and then will go lay on the couch to do his own thing. Buddy is potty-trained. He does well in the crate but his foster parents rarely crate him as he tends to be quiet for most of the day even when left alone. He is Medium energy, but is still a puppy, so some puppy energy and zoomies are expected. Buddy likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. Buddy likes balls and chew toys. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Buddy is heartworm negative, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Buddy is a social butterfly and would do well in a house with other dogs. However, the thing that he would love the most is to have a human that he can sleep with and sit next to for many hours. He would also like to enjoy his human’s company in the park or during long walks. He is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: The foster’s daughter found Buddy when he was a newborn pup with his placenta still attached. The puppy had been abandoned one block away from the foster’s home in Texas. His finders saved him from freezing to death and nursed him back to health. Buddy was moved to a foster home in Houston, Texas shortly after.
