My story

Dear Future Family,Boy have I been searching for you all for quite some time. I’ve been with BVSPCA since February 2024! Can you believe it? Me either. My foster family doesn’t quite understand why I haven’t been adopted yet. I’ve been with them for six months, and I’ve shown myself to be a delightful companion. My foster mom likes to call me a ‘retirement dog’. I’m not quite sure what she means, but I think she calls me that because I’m quite low maintenance and don’t require too much exercise to be a content, fulfilled dog. I’m happy to just snuggle up on the couch all day long, especially if food’s involved. I LOOOVE treats; any and all! I’m a great house guest, I don’t have accidents inside, and I peacefully cohabitate with my foster dog & cat brothers. I like to play with them every now and then, too, when I can find the time to stop napping. But what I really love is PEOPLE! I shine under the attention of humans :) Sometimes, I really enjoy having my own space to decompress, as I haven’t had many safe spaces to call my own in life. I need an adopter who understands this need and can provide the boundaries and guidance to thrive in my new home. My foster mom says I’m crate desensitized. I can hangout in there & have gotten great exposure while in foster, but I can be a little vocal when I first go in. I love to sing! I’ll sing to go potty, sing for treats, or sing just because everyone else is singing! I am just a goofy, weird girl who is hoping to find her forever home at the young age of 8. I think it will happen soon. In the meantime, I love my foster home. It can only go up from here!
