My story

Hi, I’m Kenley!  I’m a quiet little mama who was living a rough life outside, likely for all of my life up til now!  Some people were able to get me and my kittens, and they brought me to BTKR to get spayed, and to see if I might be adoptable.  I was really shy at first, but turned out to be a very sweet girl!  When I got spayed, they discovered that I had a broken tooth (ouch!) and some other dental issues.  So, I had a big dental surgery to get the broken teeth removed, and the rest of my teeth cleaned, and I’m feeling SO much better!  Now I’m ready to begin the search for my forever family.   I really like indoor life, and finally being safe and secure! I love interaction with people, and I have a sweet little purr when I’m enjoying pets and scritches.  I sometimes like being picked up and snuggled into a warm shoulder, as long as I’m comfortable enough with you and give you permission! I’m a quiet girl so I think I’ll do best in a quiet, calm home, without younger kids.  I get along all right with other cats, with proper introductions of course, though I think I would also be fine as an only cat.  I can get growly and hissy if other cats get near my food, so I’ll need to have my own eating spot to help me feel more secure if other kitties are in the home.  I’m not sure if I’ve ever been around dogs. I like to have cozy spots to nap, LOTS of yummy food (I love wet food and broths!), and of course, your love and affection.  I haven’t really gotten much into playing yet, but I’ve shown some interest in toys I can bat around with my paws, so I hope we can try some different toys and maybe find ones I like!  I didn’t really have a lot of time to play while I was outside raising babies and trying to survive.  I hope we can meet soon!  I’m so excited to finally find my happily ever after!
