Meet Gabby 💖 Our Resident Comedian, Loyal Companion & Zoomie Queen Gabby has been with us at Sarge’s for over three years, making her our longest resident—and one of the most beloved. She's a staff favorite, and the volunteers lucky enough to be in her circle of trust rave about her daily. If Gabby were a person, she’d be the one who has the whole room doubled over laughing with her goofiness and charm—and the one who’d show up at your door at midnight if you needed a friend. She’s funny, smart, and deeply loyal to those she loves. Gabby takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her. For those willing to go slow and earn her trust, the reward is enormous: a best friend for life. We encourage multiple meet-and-greets to help you get to know the real Gabby—the silly, affectionate, fiercely loyal dog we all adore. She’s a big girl with a big personality, and like many large breed dogs, she’s developed some physical challenges as she’s aged, including pinched discs in her lower spine. But don't let that fool you—Gabby still gets the wildest zoomies you’ve ever seen, and she’ll have you laughing every day with her antics. Gabby would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood, and be the only pet getting all of the attention, queen of the castle, if you will. After everything she’s been through, Gabby still chooses joy. She just needs someone who will choose her. Could that someone be you? 💕
