Nickel

My story

Nickel is currently in a foster home and his foster has this to say about him: `Mr. Nickel has transitioned from the pup I would see sitting in the corner of his kennel with his head hung low, to a sweet and gentle soul who is housebroken, crate trained, and follows house rules. He enjoys having his coat brushed, ears scratched and tummy rubbed. He finds joy in human interaction but he`s not clingy. While still a bit hesitant getting into the car, he rides well on our adventures to the beach and park. He`s not overly concerned with people or dogs we see while out walking. Mr. Nickel tolerates the crate during the long hours that I work without concerns.  I know I am helping him decompress on his fur-ever home journey. My hope is to find Nickel a home that will provide him the time and love he deserves to thrive. He`s such a sweet boy.`This adorable pup came to us after the heartbreaking loss of his beloved owner, leaving him without the warm home he once knew. Just when we thought things couldn`t get any tougher for Nickel, he tested positive for heartworms and had to undergo treatment to get back on the path to health. Nickel is ready to put the bad luck behind him and start fresh with someone who can show him the love and stability he deserves. Nickel is the epitome of sweetness - with his soulful eyes and gentle demeanor, he`s sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet him. While he may be a little bashful at first, it doesn`t take long for Nickel to warm up and show his true colors.
