My story

My name is Nugget. While I'm cute and chubby now, I did not have such a good start in life. I was found roaming the streets in Hillsborough County when I was 4 months old, weighing only 15 pounds, almost no hair on my back, and being so weak, that my back legs couldn't stand up straight. I could barely walk. Thanks to Animal Services and then BDRR, I've gotten my weight on, my hair has grown back, my legs have some muscle to them, and not only can I walk, but I can run and chase my other dog friends when I play outside! I am house Trained and crate trained. ! I have received all of my necessary vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, and ready to find a home of my own. I love my people, but every once in a while can be shy with strangers. But even then, once they pet me and tell me how adorable I am (because how could they not?), I warm right up and give them kisses. I fostered Nugget. He is awesome. I have fostered a few dogs. His well behaved manner stands out the most. He has such a warm and sweet personality too. I was more than impressed with how well he is house and crate trained.
