My story

Please contact Courtney Nobles (courtneyn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Happy boy ready to play! GIDEON NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!    Follow Gideon on Instagram at @good.boy.gideon.   Name: Gideon         Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and cattle dog mix    Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of January 2025    SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight: 60 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! Gideon prefers a home without cats or kids.    Currently Living at:  DC area foster homeView more cute photos of Gideon here:  https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBJat2     Gideon is Looking For: This cutie (what a mix he must be, with that coloring, those markings!) ended up in the shelter through no fault of his own. He's eagerly looking forward to once again having his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. Trips to the beach - the mountains - the toy aisle of your local pet emporium all sound great. Meeting new pup and people pals along the way is high on his wish list as well. More than that, though, he wants to be safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship and to give you lots of laughs.    What do you say? Is Gideon the one you want by your side? Do you want to be the one to do the DNA test just to see what he really is? What My Foster Says About Me:   Gideon has been a real joy to foster. He has loads of personality and loves being a playful goofball. He is very friendly towards dogs, and has plenty of furry friends in the neighborhood who love playing with him at the dog park. Though he can be a little shy and sometimes vocal around people initially, once he gets to know someone, he is very loving and playful. He is sometimes anxious at events, but is not anxious with his foster parents in their home. Whether it's squeaking toys, finding the perfect stick to toss in the air during a walk or jog, gnawing on a bone, or maybe just his favorite game, tug, Gideon is always down for new adventures and experiences. However, he's just as happy cuddling, and loves giving kisses and affection to his family.Gideon has taken to crate training well and sleeps in it every night with no incidents at his foster's home. He knows that he has to relieve himself outside and aside from the first day of fostering, he has not had any accidents in the house, In addition to his uniquely beautiful coat and deep, soulful brown eyes, he is also extremely intelligent and food motivated. He has already learned sit, stay, lay down, shake, and fetch, and with the right practice and hopefully a few tasty rewards, he would love for you to teach him many more.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
