Arlo von Altena

My story

Arlo von Altena is a gorgeous 4-year-old White German Shepherd with eyes that will melt your heart. He walks nicely on a leash, gets along with other dogs, is potty trained and rides calmly in the car. He also enjoys his cozy crate (his personal "pup cave"). Arlo's energy level is medium, but bring out a ball, and he's ready to play! If you're looking for a pup with some serious basketball skills, he is your guy. Love to hike, walk, run or simply explore the great outdoors? So does this adventure seeker. Prefer a couch day? So does this pup. In other words, Arlo loves what you do! No cats or small dogs for him though. Ready to make him part of your family? Rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
