Meet Hushy! Hushy is a playful, sweet, and beautiful Siberian Husky. He has been in foster care for a month now and his foster mom has nothing but good things to say about him. He is well trained, responsive, and loves to cuddle. He likes other dogs and jumps for joy on walks because he wants to love everyone. Hushy is an active dog who will need plenty of enrichment in his adoptive home. That being said, he loves to chill and nap. He matches the energy of the room, so if you're just hanging out and relaxing, he will too. He's a bit of an escape artist as well, so if you have a yard, it would be best if it was fenced in, as Hushy might just be encouraged to explore the neighborhood. Hushy is a Special Care animal, but don't worry! Anti Cruelty has been taking great care of him the last month to make sure he is ready for adoption. Hushy had heartworm disease when he came in but has now gone through the 2 rounds of treatment. He will need a future appointment at a vet to check his heartworm status. One part of the treatment is low activity for about 6 weeks. He must be limited to bathroom walks only and no running/jumping of any kind, as it could cause serious complications. He is working on a "chill" life and he is handling it fine. His foster has been teaching him low effort commands to make sure his brain stays active during. Hushy is truly a wonderful dog full of so much love and any adopter would be so lucky to take him to his forever home. Fill a questionnaire now to learn more about meeting Hushy!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hushy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
